Collage Giveaway

Welcome to my blog giveaway!

Yes Folks...in a blatant effort to increase my blog readership I am giving away one of my collage pieces to one of you who takes the time to add a comment to my blog post. I will write down the names of all you lovely peeps who make comments, put them in a hat (or any other container that comes to hand), and choose one person to receive the original collage piece pictured above. I will announce the winner in a week, on Feb. 3.

Let me tell you a bit about this collage. It measures 9" x 11 1/8" x 1 3/4" and is created on a masonite substrate and mounted onto a 1 3/4" deep solid ash wood cradled frame. The collage features images and text from a vintage magazine, vintage wallpaper, handmade and printed paper, an image from a vintage book, an antique decorative wood piece I found in France, and an inkjet lazertran image. I made this piece last year and it is signed and dated on the back. The value of the piece is $125.

Stay tuned for future giveaways.

Can't wait to hear from you!

That is a beautiful collage, and I would be happy to even have a print if I'm not lucky enough to win the original.
Good luck with your blog promotion. Come along and visit me! Maybe you should join the OWOH if it's not too late...

Oh btw, a "FOLLOWERS" button might be useful way of getting people back to visit you too.. i find it so much easier to follow people that way through blogger without the old feeds!

Such a beautiful collage. I love the different textures used, the vintage wallpaper is wonderful. The retro image of the water gives such a peaceful feeling. Being a fellow artist, I always love to collect and display others artwork, this would be a great addition to my collection!

Hi Patricia, I came here by way of blogger's "followers" app. I had no idea till tonight people were "following" me in this way! *digs head out of sand*

Anyway, you're quirky and I like that in a person.

I was looking at your Out of the Box work and it struck me that your style reminds me so much of Joseph Cornell. (And please, I mean this in the NICEST way.) It's the way you juxtapose the disparate elements to create a piece in which the colours and textures magically blend together seamlessly.

My favourite from what I've seen is "Yes, No, Maybe" but all the pieces have their own charm.

In any case, I just wanted to let you know I was here, peeking in on your world and that I admire your work. I's like to add you to my links, if that's okay. :)

I have always wondered about the idea behind a collage. Dreams? A unique landscape remembered? Feelings turned into phyical representation? Looking at this one, I am reminded of when I fled an entire state due to a broken heart. Nice work. Carol J.
